Composition : Blue Steel . The Blue Steel alloy used in this Jump’In range is made of 54% carbon and 46% manganese.
Effet : a full cheek bit has a direct action on the horse’s mouth with no lever effect. This is the bit that will create the best frame possible and that is why it is perfectly adapted to young horses. The French-mouth cannons make this bit more comfortable by relieving the horse from any pressure on their palate. Blue steel bit oxidizes with air and humidity creating a thin layer of rust which has a sweet taste. It will stimulate the production of saliva and naturally allow the horse to relax. The horse will be more comfortable and will take the bit more. The bit color will turn into a greyish brown due to this oxidation process.
Using advice : This bit is really ergonomic and suits every horse type. The cannons are thinner than standard ones so they will bring more finesse in the rider’s demands.
Maintenance advice: rinse the bit after each use to prevent any residue deposit and to avoid your horse to feel any discomfort.
